You're right, you shouldn't abandon a good relationship because of a bad sex life without even trying. Great Person, Bad Sex. Is It a Deal-Breaker?

He has never managed to orgasm from intercourse with me and has always taken a long time to climax, usually at least 45 min. Because of this, our sex life is mainly manual stimulation and blow jobs; intercourse is rare but I miss it. That said, to the crux of the problem. He has been jobless the length of our relationship. He has said several times that all his previous partners cheated on him, and he fears I will also.

I was nearing orgasm and he moved the toy off my clit with his finger. I frowned and he got up, left the bed, and went in the other room to watch YouTube videos. I had a conversation with him about a week later where I said explicitly that I felt hurt and lonely when he left me alone in the middle of sex. He seemed to understand, but last weekend, a similar thing happened. He left my apartment shortly after that. Dave is usually a decent, kind person. Why is our sex life so dysfunctional?

Is it asking too much to want him not to make my orgasms about his ego? Should I weather this with patience, in hopes of the return of the good man I liked? What happened in your early life that made you think that having your needs met is not required within an intimate relationship? Did you have a parent that was misattuned to your needs on a regular basis, or did you see this chronic misattunement between your parents? Master Splinter. December 7, at pm — Reply.
