Girlfriend trying to get me jealous

Men and women all experience jealousy to some degree, we just experience jealousy in different ways. For example, women are more likely to feel jealous if their romantic partner falls in love with another woman; men, on the other hand, are more likely to feel jealous if their romantic partner has sex with another man. This is a key difference between the sexes. But knowing how to protect a woman the right way is what separates the attractive man from the unattractive man. If you believe your girlfriend or wife has cheated on you or is about to cheat on you, those initial feelings of hurt, jealousy, and anger can be overwhelming. Submitting to your emotions, however, will do nothing to fix the problem or make those feelings of jealousy go away.

What to do When Your Girlfriend Makes You Jealous

I've been dating my girlfriend for a little over a month. Everything is going really well. We go on great dates, have amazing conversations, and everything about the relationship is just great!

The first thing was when she told me about this guy from work that she was friends with. One day, she told me that they talk about sex and relationships all the time and that he's cute. It seemed really awkward and out of context so I confronted her. She said she was sorry and that her and this guy are just friends and she won't bother me anymore.

The next day that she told me she had a dream about this guy me and her always talk about having dreams about each other which i blatantly ignored. Then the out of context comments built up. She told me how this really sexual song reminded her of her work friend and she wouldn't tell me why.

Then one day she told me she had this day where she hung out at his house and "straaaange things happened" but she wouldn't elaborate on what they were. She also told this guy that him and her have the same mind just like she always says to me - not that that's a big thing but it's weird and i wonder why she'd tell me this. She openly talks about flirting with this guy a lot but always tells me her and him are just friends. Today she told me she wanted to go to a concert with this guy.

Just this guy. I feel kind of lame for ignoring or being passive aggressive during most of these instances but I really didn't want to seem like I was nagging too much over one issue. This is getting out of control now though. I'm really upset. Do you think I should be? Do you think my girlfriend is deliberately trying to make me jealous of this guy? Somebody help me! The only thing you can honestly do to get back at her is to dump her and never talk to her or pay any attention to her, never talk about her or acknowledge her existence.

Girls HATE this. I'm not sure how she really feels about you, so no promising it will work. But it's as close as you can get mate. I had this thing with this chick over the summer and things were going great, when all of a sudden I found out she was texting my friend about how she wanted to have sex with him and here is how much of a skank she is I was pissed for a while, but what I learned about girls is that if you were good to them, and you cut them off and act like they were nothing and act like you forgot their existence, they go crazy.

She has not stopped texting me since, and I never reply. After a while I was getting sick of these messages so two days ago I finally replied asking "who is this?

I miss you a lot and I hate admitting I was wrong butI was. You were the best thing that happened to me and I took you for granite. I'm sorry for everything I can't imagine why a girl I'm assuming between the ages of would do this but it's not worth your attention.

Skuldier Featured By Owner Nov 16, Like many said, dump her. She's playing games with you. She wants everyone to want her. It will only get worse from here. Whether she's just mean, or has low self-esteem, one thing is certain: she's a very immature person.

All these instances you mentioned would be more than enough for me to walk out of this relationship. She's not going to change for you. She's deliberately trying to make you jealous. Whether or not she actually has feelings for the other guy, I don't know.

I think that she's definitely insecure about your relationship, and seeing as it's only been a month that's not exactly surprising but her behaviour is out of line.

Talk to her, ask her what the problem is and why she's with you if she loves that other guy so much. Ask what her real feelings are for him. Let her know how much it hurts you. If she fails to improve on things, this early on it's kind of an alarm bell. I suggest breaking it off and looking elsewhere for someone who won't be so careless with your feelings. Cuntacious Featured By Owner Nov 16, Sounds like she's playing the shit out of you and you just don't know when to call it quits.

I don't know. One thing you can do is fight fire with fire. She may just realize what she's saying is hurtful and stop. I talked to her and she said she's sorry and she didn't mean to upset me. After that, these were my girlfriend's almost exact words: "So my friend another guy said you requested him on facebook. He was like, 'so your boyfriend added me on facebook. What would he do if I just posted I love you all over my wall? Then he said 'Oh, just friends eh? Hahahahahahah that's funny right Bobby?

Sounds like she's a bit of a narcissist and she's manipulating you to make herself feel good. She said she was sorry, yet she had to add that snippy little remark. It's like she looked past and invalidated what you told her; in fact, she had to pour salt over the wound. Let her go and find someone better.

A narcissist? Dear God! That could explain the lack of empathy. I really really do think I need to find someone better at this point. I had a friend that would get drunk and talk about the amazing sex she had with her friend Not surprised he cheated on her with her best friend in their house.

Then she uses my other friend who she hasn't seen in over years and is suicidal to the point he's stabbed himself and while he was still moping about his ex, she was telling me how she wanted to have sex with him and never talk to him again since there was another guy and she was sick of hearing him talk about his ex of over a year some friend she is.

So you told her to you didn't like it and she says sorry, yet carries on doing it? She's either stupid, doesn't take your relationship serious at all, or she's an attention whore. Talk to her about it very clearly. Make sure she completely understands. If you try and do the whole 'give her a taste of her own medicine' thing then you're pretty much just as bad.

If she continues after you make it clear, leave her. Atleast it's early on. Sounds like she's either trying to play with your feelings, or hinting that she does like this guy.

I'd tell her straight out how you feel about it or end it. Qihah Featured By Owner Nov 13, Jomarieha Featured By Owner Nov 13, Yes, she is deliberately trying to make you jealous. The real question I would ask if I were you, is why? Is she insecure about your relationship? Or do you think it's just a matter of her letting you know that if you don't meet her needs, there is someone who will?

Regardless of why she is doing this, you need to consider how long you'll put up with it. She's manipulating your emotions and that's just wrong. I don't blame you for being upset but you're the only one that can put an end to it. Good luck with that. Thank you. Your answer was very clear and makes a lot of sense. And I definitely think she's insecure about our relationship.

She always says please never leave me and I'd be devastated if we broke up and all that jazz.

My Girlfriend is Trying to Make Me Jealous

Guys do a lot of ill-advised things when they're in love or even "in like". For instance, there are some men who actively try to make their partners jealous. Editor's note: Yes, yes , some women do this, too — but today we're focusing on dudes. Whether they're doing it because they've been feeling neglected, or simply out of pettiness, it's pretty dickish.

Most of the time even the person who chose to end things wants to win. Well they want to be assured that:.

To begin, I want to quickly explain what it means if your ex IS indeed trying to make you jealous. This is a great sign that your ex wants you back. If you do hear your ex say that sort of thing, then they might be saying it just to make you jealous. My Ex Is Trying To Make Me Jealous

The game works like this. She picks out another man, usually one she has at least a moderate degree of attraction towards, and she flirts with him, either by talking about him in an adoring fashion, or by displaying non-verbal cues of interest to that man while you are around e. She chats him up in your presence, all the while expressing profuse admiration for his most mundane qualities. If online, she exchanges a chain of messages, usually drenched with emoticons. She might even give out her contact information to that man, or tentatively arrange to meet up with him again sometime in the future. In short, she gives feral attention to another man, and that attention is of higher quality or quantity than what she normally gives to you. All this fawning attention and time spent on this other guy, is done with the express purpose of making you feel intense jealousy. The kicker is that it is only right that you should feel jealous, because she is giving the kind of attention to another man, that she should only be giving to you.
